I am a lecturer in Adult Branch Nursing and a part-time PhD student at King's College London.
My professional background is in acute adult nursing, mainly surgery and chronic conditions. I have previously taught at the University of Nottingham and the University of Manchester. In 2007 I was appointed at King's College London as a lecturer and a researcher. My research interests are in the areas of fatigue in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), patient self-management, developing and improving quality of nursing care, skill-mix and advanced role and patient assessment. Since July 2010 I have been working on a research programme into fatigue in IBD for Crohn's and Colitis United Kingdom charity, funded by Big Lottery. I am a mix-methods researcher. I have published in peer reviewed journals and presented at the national and international conferences.
