I am currently working as an associate professor at Diakonova University College where I am resonsible for developing a curriculum for a master's degree in home health nursing. My post doctoral research involves testing and evaluating a clinical tool for systematic observation and assessment in home health care practice for early identification of functional decline in older people. My topics of interest are nursing, essentials of care, and nursing models and interventions, continuity of care, documentation and information exchange and technology - mostly within the context of long-term home health care.
My career started as an enrolled nurse (EN) in home health care (2-year education). After my BSc in nursing I continued working in home health care as a registered nurse (RN), nurse manager and nurse consultant. I earned a masters degree in nursing science (MNSc) in 2007 and a doctoral degree (PhD) in 2014, both at the University of Oslo, Department of Nursing Science.
