About Cecilia Olsson

I am Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Karlstad University.  I defended my thesis Sexuality in patients treated for hematologic malignancies Problems and the need for support from patients and nurses perspective in May 2014, at Karlstad University in Sweden. During my PhD a was a PhD-student at the European Academy of Nursing Science Summer School for Doctoral Studies 2011-2013. Since 2014, I am working as Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Karlstad University. I am also the President of the Swedish Society of Oncology Nurses 2015-2017.

Background

I am a Specialist Nurse in Oncology. I have been working in Cancer Care since 1995. Besides the interest in cancer care, I have also participated in the development of the nursing education in clinic. Since 2007  I have worked as a lecturer at the Nursing Education (bachelor), Karlstad University, Sweden. I have been a member of the board of Swedish Society of Oncology Nurses since 2011.
