I'm interested in geriatric research. Especially my areas of interest are the assessment and prevention of falls and prevention of physical restraint in residential and rehabilitation setting. I believe that nurses should be actively engaged in research to improve nursing care and health outcomes of the community. In this regard, I hope to deepen the mixed methods and methodology for developing and evaluating complex interventions.
I'm a nurse educator and work in a residential and rehabilitation for the older person in the city of Milan. They are teaching in the Bachelor of nursing at the University of Milan and several continuing education courses in geriatric care and in the area of evidence-based practice. I deepened, through training and experiential, research and implementation of evidence in clinical practice, the development of Cochrane systematic reviews (first level). I am a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics (Section Nursing). I collaborated with the Foundation GIMBE, directed by Antonino Cartabellotta, the Italian translation of the AGREE II (Appraisal of Guidelines for Research & Evaluation): Brouwers MC, Kho ME, Browman GP, Burgers JS, Cluzeau F, Feder G, et al .; AGREE Next Steps Consortium. AGREE II: advancing guideline development, reporting and evaluation in health care. CMAJ 2010; 182: E839-42.
I am currently attending the first year of Phd program in sciences pathophysiological, neuropsicobiologic and care of the life cycled at the University of Milan, Italy.
